Rockwell hardness scale has a fact of the scope of application,according to the provisions of the correct choice.For example,the hardness is higher than HRB100,should use the HRC scale for testing;hardness is lower than HRC20 when the application of HRB scale for testing.Because beyond its specified test range,the accuracy and sensitivity of the hardness tester is poor,the hardness value is inaccurate,should not be used.Other hardness testing method also provides for the corresponding calibration standards.Calibration hardness tester with the standard block can not be used on both sides,because the standard surface and the back of the hardness is not necessarily consistent.Commonly used hardness tester Rockwell hardness tester,Vickers hardness tester,digital Rockwell hardness tester,Brinell hardness tester.General provisions of the standard block is valid for one year from the date of calibration.

2,when replacing the indenter or anvil seat,pay attention to the contact parts to wipe clean.After replacement,to use a certain hardness of steel samples tested several times,until the hardness value obtained twice in a row is the same.The purpose is to make the indenter or anvil seat and test machine contact part of the pressure,good contact,so as not to hardness tester hardness affect the accuracy of the test results.
